As I prepare to go to Washington DC this week to join in the March for Freedom on July 12, my mind is wrestling with the best way to add my voice and lend my work to the March’s cause. The most important work ahead for all of us who support Ron Paul’s message is the work of reigniting fearless revolutionary power in We the People.

Fully ignited fearless people power standing for the good of all is also known as HONOR. Thus my book Choosing HONOR. This book was originally named Mother Mary’s Book of Honor. “Mother Mary” was too laden with religious stigma for many people, we scratched it and focused on the book’s call for fearless honor.

An article in the July 7-14, 2008 issue of Newsweek by Malcom Jones, “Who Was More Important: Lincoln or Darwin?” http://www.newsweek.com/id/143742
has inspired me to refocus on my American mother voice.

In the Newsweek article, Malcolm emphasizes the importance of American mothers in Lincoln’s vision of realizing the ideal of our United States with this quote, "Let reverence for the laws, be breathed by every American mother, to the lisping babe, that prattles on her lap."

I was raised by an American mother who “breathed reverence for the law” to my four “prattling” siblings and me. Knowing what was contained in the United States' founding documents was as important as the teachings of Jesus Christ in our household. As I state in my book Choosing Honor, mind games are used to further the teachings of Jesus Christ, just as they are used to undermine the teachings of Jesus Christ. Mind games are also used to undermine Lincoln’s words and the words of our Declaration of Independence and the United States’ Constitution. This reality was a favorite launching point for my family’s dinner table discussions in the 1970s.

Malcolm’s Newsweek article spends a lot of time comparing Darwin and Lincoln and their affect on our societal paradigm of thought, but he fails to mention the mind games that have evolved out of Darwin's "survival of the fittest" theory that have been used to undermine Lincoln's message as well as Jesus Christ’s message. Acceptance of the mental ability to master economic shell games and gain huge profits as a sign of being one of mankind's "fittest" has destroyed the ethical fabric of equality and equal opportunity for all that is the very essence of our law.. Jesus Christ’s primary message, treat others as you would have them treat you has fallen by the wayside in the pursuit of being one of mankind's fittest. This dishonor based on a “superior” economic model that justifies world domination has put mankind and the United States on the fast track to extinction.

My childhood years were spent overseas. My father, a manufacturing engineer, led the way in establishing IBM manufacturing plants around the world in the 1960’s thru early 80s. In our childhood, my siblings and I viewed human living conditions in which mankind should never have to exist. My mother’s mantra in response to our childhood distress over the extreme poverty and disparity in wealth that we witnessed was that “in the United States we do not have conditions like this because we have an honest and stable monetary system mandated by our Constitution.”

In the mid to late 1970’s, our family returned to living in the United States and my siblings and I entered University. Our dinner table erupted with economic and political insights and realities gleaned from our University educations. High on the list of outrage among my siblings was the fact that the Federal Reserve is, as all Ron Paul supporters already know, a travesty of our Constitutional monetary law. Our family harmony relied on our agreeing to simply disagree. In time, we all seemed to let go of our outrage and angst by relying on faith in our government leaders to honor the essence of who we are as a people. We put our faith in the idea that despotism was outside the realm of a US Citizen’s essential fabric of being. Our family, thus We the People hold our own laws as sacred. Nixon was brought down, our elected government would never completely undermine the spirit of liberty and equality that has made us such a shining beacon of hope and spiritual Light to the world. I can no longer hold this faith.

Today, our nation is
teetering on the brink of utter financial and economic ruin, the
government dishonor at all levels is driving us headlong into a police state and a
disastrous attack upon Iran is the new inevitable consensus. Add insult to injury, I can buy coffee cups painted with the rights afforded us by the Constitution that all but disappear when hot liquid fills the cup. The rights still visible on the cup filled with a hot liquid are the few that remain in our law. I can not whisper reverence for the law to my children, there is no reverence for the law.

The future is in your hands right now. You can allow dishonor of our law to continue and despotism, poverty, ruin and
war are yours... or you can choose honor and liberty, revitalization, renaissance and peace are yours. You choose now
and every day going forward. Your actions or inactions will determine the United States’ survival or demise.
